I am researching the above Army Officer who served as DAA & QMG at 3 Commando Brigade in the Far East between June 1949 and January 1951. He was awarded the MBE in April 1951 for his work with the Brigade - the citation talks about his devotion to organising several moves of the Brigade within Malaya.

Interestingly, the last paragraph of the citation, initiated by Brigadier CR Hardy DSO, CBE, CO 3 Cdo Brigade, says:-
?I recommend him most strongly for an award which would bring great satisfaction to all ranks of a Royal Marine Brigade?
This paragraph was crossed out in hand by GOC Malaya (2* Army) or the C-inC FARELF, John Harding when countersigning the citation. Army jealousy?

Any information and/or photos of LEA would be much appreciated.
