Great IWM interview with Bob Bennett MM, No.8 Cdo and SAS

Found this interview with Bob Bennett [more....] who served in No.8 Commando before moving to 'L' Detachment SAS. Most is about his time in the SAS...excellent source of information, names, mixed with some good humour. Highly recommended for those with an interest in WW2 SAS history.

Others worth tracking down are Fred Birch, Johnny Cooper, George Jellicoe, Harold Leadbetter, Bill Moss, James Reid and James Sherwood.
All have links to Layforce, SBS and L Detatchment and at times give info on some aspects not covered in the published word.
One to mention is Dougie Arnold, 7 Commando who saw action on Crete and escaped, tells a story of how L Detatchment overcame the clip issue when parachuting during initial training after the accident, his role in Squatter and subsequent escape in Italy, his work with the Partisans and return to the UK and joining 1 SAS until the end of the war, his story is worth a book on its own.
