For Royal Marines Service Records I only know the address where forms should be sent to in 'normal' times:

RN Disclosure Cell, MP1.3, Leach Building, Navy Command Headquarters, Whale Island, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO2 8BY

You could try sending an email asking your question to the Navy Command Freedom of Information section whose details are below.

Navy Command FOI Section
Navy Command Headquarters
MP 1-4, Leach Building
Whale Island
PORTSMOUTH
PO2 8BY

E-mail: [email protected]

Hi Pete

Looks like the government departments are closed due to covid 19.
I have sent the relevant forms to Portsmouth but may have a bit of a wait to get any information back.

Thanks
