My Grandad is an amazing man that still going strong after his 100th Birthday back in October.

Grandad was in No. 3 Troop 6. I can't seem to find him in any of the photos of No.3 troop 6 but i have a few photos of him with other soldiers he can't seem to remember their names or where the photos were when taken, (he was in the KSLI before hand so could have been taken than but really not sure)

Hi Littlelamb 231(sorry you did not leave a name)

We did not have your Grandfather listed so I have added his details to our No.3 Commando nominal roll. I can see he was also a member of the original Commando Association which stood down in 2005. He is mentioned in one of their newsletters after getting back in touch with them. Please send congratulations and belated 100th birthday greetings to your Grandpa. Feel free to add the photos here. If you have a good photo of your Grandpa, eg. the one on your profile avatar, that you would like included please also feel free to post a larger resolution copy here. There are size restrictions of 1mb on photos which is quite large but if they do not load that will be the issue. Just let me know and I will then assist you.

Becky,
Belated best wishes to your grandfather for his 100th birthday.
Did your grandfather initially serve with a Territorial Battalion of the Herefordshire Regiment, which formed part of the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry Regiment?
His cap badge on his side cap is from the Herefordshire Regiment.

Hi Becky

There is only a snippet in the newsletter so I have copied it from there and emailed it to you.
