I am trying to map all of the UK's PoW Camps. I was surprised to find that there was a PoW Camp at Inveraray - PoWs were not usually sent to 'sensitive' areas.

But I soon realised that these PoWs were sent to Inveraray in 1945. So they almost certainly took over an existing (and mostly empty) camp. But I can't find any conclusive evidence as to where this PoW camp was located.

My gut instinct is that, when the PoWs were sent home in 1947/8, most PoW Camps were then taken over by the likes of the Polish Resettlement Corps. If this is the case, at Inveraray, the PoWs might have been located at Shira or Duke's Camp....

Can anyone confirm, or give me a different location for the Inveraray PoW Camp please...?
