It is with much sadness that we note an entry on a Royal Marines website about the passing on the 4th February 2019 of James Patrick (Pat) Hagan who served in 45 RM Commando and 4 Special Service Brigade Signals. In 2007 Pat was chairman of the the Lincoln Branch of the CVA. Our sincere condolences to all his Family and Friends.
2019. Sunday 4th February. The Passing and Funeral of Former RM Patrick Hagan Patrick passed away peacefully with his family with him in hospital following a long battle with ill health. President of the RMA Lincolnshire Branch and the Commando Veterans Branch. Stalwart and promoter of the Not Forgotten Society. Well-known and respected business man, known as Mr. Louth and for many years owner of Mr. Chips Louth fish and chip restaurant, as well as other business interests. Awarded the Legion D' Honour several years ago. 93 years of age. Served 4th Special Service Brigade served 1942 - 1946, D-Day, Walcheren Island, Liberation of Europe, Hong Kong 1945-1946. Promoted Lance Corporal 1946. Passed away Monday 4th February. Funeral Service at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Louth Lincolnshire, 27th February 2019.
