A link to Maj Gen R E Laycock's papers as held in Kings College, London

http://www.kcl.ac.uk/lhcma/cats/laycock/la95-0.shtml

These papers are available to researchers and, I imagine, would make very interesting reading

Great site Nick, another one that will be added to our links. Even just the summaries of what they hold are interesting reading.

Others available;

Maj Gen JC Haydon - Commander 1 SS Bde then Vice Chief Combined Ops staff

I am interested in reading several of the reports which relate to Operations TORCH and BIZERTE (mostly contained within the LAYCOCK 5/27 series).

I am located in the United States and (most-likely) will not be able to travel to King's College - London anytime soon. Can you provide me with guidance in how I can make a request to the personnel at King's College (via e-mail or postal service) for paper or electronic copies of several of these documents?

Thanks,

Craig Johnson

You can either click on Nicks links above to go direct to Laycocks papers or for a full search go to their website home page :

www.kcl.ac.uk

on the left hand column click " Information Services and Systems"
when there, on the left hand column click " Archives "
when there, on the left hand column click " Catalogues"
Now you will see the 2 Reference sites to search on.
Search on key words such as " Torch"

If you want copies sent to you it is best to email them when you have found what you want in the searches. Their email address is :

[email protected]

Good luck
