It is with much sadness that Ernie Brown advises us of the recent death on the 20th February 2019 of Willie Orr. Our sincere condolences to all his Family and friends.

Willie passed the All Arms Commando Course in 1976 when the Unit was designated as 289 Parachute Battery RHA (V). His course was in preparation for the change to a Commando role in 1977 and subsequent redesignation as 289 Commando Light Battery RA (V).

Rest in peace Willie.

Willie Orr's funeral will take place in a service at 15.00 on Friday 22 March 2019 at Forest Park Cemetery and Crematorium, Forest Road, Hainault, Essex IG6 3HP. Mourners are asked to arrive at Forest Park Cemetery and Crematorium between 14.30 and 14.45. No flowers.

Drinks will be held after the service at the RAFA Club at 18 Carlton Road, Romford, Essex RM2 5AA.
