It is with much sadness that we advise you of the recent death on 15 January 2019 of Edmund Nelson aged 99yrs. Edmund, service no. EX 3368, enlisted in February 1940 and joined No.44 Royal Marine Commando, Royal Marines, D Troop, in August 1943. He was involved in combined operations in the Far East and Burma and was wounded in action at Hill 170 in January 1945. His service ended in December 1945. Our condolences, and thoughts and prayers, are with his daughter Susan and all his Family and friends.

Rest in peace Edmund.

When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
