Royal Marines Eastney Trophy

I have seen a heavy lead crystal fruit bowl engraved "Eastney Trophy" and bearing the Royal Marines Per mar, per terram logo currently for sale on Ebay. I am interested to find out what the trophy would have been presented for. As Eastney was Closed 20 years ago I have yet to find anyone who can remember it. Any memories or recollections would be appreciated. :)

I was hoping someone on the forum would remember competing for it. You would have thought the last winner before closure of Eastney would would have hung on to it as a permanent reminder. It will find a new owner in the next day or so. I hope it goes to a veteran or a museum.
