Hello to all
I received sad news from his daughter Linda ANDERSON than her dad
Derrick DIGHTON N°3 Cdo 4 Troop left us.
He was the last veterans from 4 Troop than I knew.
Rest In Peace, Derrick !! We will never forget you !

Sad news indeed Stéphane. Thanks for posting the information. I believe Derrick became a senior police officer post war. Are you able to ask his daughter Linda to contact me by email when she has time so as I can place some accurate detail in our gallery as a tribute to her Father.

ex Ch/Supt Derrick Dighton died on April 22, 2018 aged 94 years
The Chief Constable regrets to inform you of the sad death of our former colleague Derrick Dighton who retired as a Ch/Supt in 1982 and served at Romford, Bishops Stortford, Harwich, Kelvedon, Dunmow, Braintree, Chelmsford and Colchester. He passed away on the 22nd April 2018 aged 94 years.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday 17th May at 2.30pm, at Rainsbrook Crematorium, Rugby.
