Danny has advised me of an IWM film taken in July 1944 which shows the graves of three Commandos and an Airborne soldier by the road side at Pegasus Bridge.

The video can be viewed on this link: https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/1060019906

Lieutenant Peter Maziere Mercer Wilson, No 3 Commando.

Fusiler Arthur Charity No 6 Commando.

Guardsman Leslie Campbell No 3 Commando http://www.commandoveterans.org/LeslieCampbell3Commando

Lance Corporal Fred Greenhalgh, 2nd Airborne Ox and Bucks LI.

If you look at Guardsman Campbell's entry above, you will see I have added what is written on the stone with the crucifix at the grave.

Pete Rogers, son of LSgt Joe Rogers MM & nephew of TSM Ken McAllister. Both No2 Commando.
God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
