Date of commemoration of flushing this year.

Son of Gunner Bill Harvey No4 Commando who was killed in action on 1 November 1944 when liberating Flushing. "Their deeds shall live from age to age. They've writ their name on History's page. Upheld their glorious heritage. The Fighting Fourth Commando."

Thanks to Jochem Schmetz who laid the CVA wreath for No 4 Commando French and British and to all in Flushing who turned out to remember all who gave their lives for liberation and all our freedom. A large crowd attended.

It includes various shots of British commandos at Breskens preparing for assault on Flushing. Landing craft sail along and dive bombers shell defences. The commandos disembark and go ashore with their equipment.
Various shots of British troops advancing past burning buildings and firing in the streets of Flushing. Various shots of captured German prisoners of war. Various shots of royal marine commandos sailing towards Westkapelle on landing craft. Various shots of rocket fire from ships. Various shots of marines on landing craft.
