Taken from a post on Facebook ....from Sue....Billy's Daughter.
From Sue: Sadly my dad, Bill passed away on Friday evening in his sleep.......to anyone that knew him he was a hugely loved, charismatic man with a real zest for life.....but at 92yrs young and almost 10yrs this month, after my mum, Rose died...he has finally given up on life and gone to meet her 😇 Gone but never forgotten Dad.... your memory lives on in ours
RIP Billy
A gentleman....and true Commando.

The first veteran from No.5 Commando I was to meet, he was kind enough to give me a photo of a group of 5 Troop which he was on - so was my dad and his commando pal!
A dear, dear man who will be sadly missed.
Thoughts and prayers are with his children and his brothers. Rest in Peace, Billy Moore.

Billy Moore's funeral is Thursday 26th October at 3.30pm at Chilterns Crematorium, Hampden Chapel, Whielden Lane, Amersham, Bucks, HP7 0ND.
Please could you let Tarnia Townshend ([email protected]) know if you will be attending as Billy's family would like an ideas of numbers for food etc.
Billy's daughter, Sue, also adds - We will be hosting a wake at a pub nearby but, as yet, have not decided where. I will pass this on nearer the time.
We have also decided that apart from flowers from those not attending we have decided to ask for contribution to charity.
Our chosen charity will be the CVA as it is so close to dad's heart and they have been so good to dad over the years.
We will collect these donations on the day and pass them on at a later date.
Please pass this information onto your members
Many thanks Sue xx
Nick
