Commando plaque

Hi I am trying to get a Commando plaque like my dad had he was in B troop 7th Commando.It was about 6" high x 4" wide I think it had the dagger on it from the Commando association bought probably in the 70's,any ideas will be appreciated.Ron.

Hi Ron, Thanks for posting the photos. Whilst it may seem obvious can you confirm in each photo shown on the other emails exactly which man is your Father taken from the aspect of 'as you look at the image 2nd from left' or whatever is the case , and whether you have any information about the others in them . I will then move them into the 7 Commando gallery.

As regards the plaques or shields there were several of these over the years, one example being this one in our gallery.

There was one for sale on ebay only last week...

I was after a No.5 Cdo plaque/shield the same as this one

but gave up hope of ever finding one - so I had one made!

The photo doesn't do it justice as the gold scrolls and blades are much brighter than on the photo.
