Dear Geoff:

It is with much sadness that once again this week I have to give you news of the passing of another old comrade, 'Forbes' Kirkhope. He was an old friend who had distinguished himself at Salerno and had been awarded the D.C.M. for his bravery in that operation.

At this time I have no details concerning funeral arrangements.
