In Britain there was started in 1940 to train elite special forces soldiers for the toughest and most dangerous assignments of the war, at the front and behind enemy lines. From 1942, also led the British on their allies for such tasks. And so gone on 22 March 1942 25 Dutch soldiers to go to the Scottish achnacarry to command the heavy "Basic training" to follow. A month later, they received their commandobrevet and the distinctive green beret.
