It is with much sadness that we advise you of the recent death on the 30th December 2016 of Arthur Baseley who served in No 12 and 5 Commando, and also possibly 1/5 Commando. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family at this time.

Rest in peace Arthur

nb. there are a couple of photos in the gallery where Arthur has been identified amongst those present. He is also mentioned in CA Newsletter 86 of 1988 showing his units as "12/1/5 Cdos." and in CA Lost Legion List 1 where his unit is confirmed only as 5 Cdo. The detail included in the former reference confirms definitely 12 Commando as well.
