It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of the President for life of the Yorkshire Commando Club, Jim Crow, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at 0830 this morning Dec 23rd at St James Hospital Leeds. Funeral arrangements TBN. Jim was in No1 Commando and was a member of the original Commando Association. He was a good friend , a gentle and modest man, quietly spoken and always smiling. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends both in the Commando fraternity and the West Yorkshire mining community where he made his life after the war, being well known as a pit overman with responsibilities for safety and first aid at which he excelled.
