It is with much sadness that we advise you of the recent death on the 11th October 2016 of Colin Rae MC,TD, CVA member and former No 3 Commando. Colin, aged 95, had been attached from the Royal Artillery to No 3 Commando from July 1944 onwards, first as Lieutenant and the Intelligence Officer, and later as T/Captain and the Adjutant. He was awarded the Military Cross for his gallantry during the action at the Essel Bridgehead by the River Aller.
Post war Colin served as Major in the Territorial Army Reserve of Officers.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his son Michael, and all his family and friends at this time.
Rest in peace Colin.
