In case you haven't spotted one of the latest updates on the site in the "Recent Content" section, I have just put together and added a document with transcripts of some of the replies by Eric Buckmaster No 2 Commando to my many questions over the last few years. As I have often found when talking to Veterans, little is said about the horrors of war.
Eric is 95 years young now and I thank him for all his continued help.

Thanks Pete
What a great memoir and as usual the extreme modesty and quiet fortitude shines through Eric's words.
Eric is a member of a unique generation who will never be forgotten.
Thanks Eric.
Regards

Thank you so much for this.
I still don't know which Troop dad was attached to for Sicily and Salerno but this helps me understand a little of what the journey was like.
Marvellous!

If I have praised my comrades too highly I make no apology, for they were beyond all praise.
