It is with much sadness that we advise you of the recent death of Warrant Officer Ashly Mead. Our condolences to his son Barry and all the family. Barry adds the following:
I am sorry to inform you of the death of my father who served in the Commando Brigade in the 70's, first in the Log Regt then in Brigade HQ as Brigade Ordnance Warrant Officer. He is being laid to rest in Colchester on the 18th October


Rest in peace Ashly.
Pete Rogers, son of LSgt Joe Rogers MM & nephew of TSM Ken McAllister. Both No2 Commando.
God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
