Frede Pedersen, No.5 Commando

Earlier this year, Thomas Brink brought it to my attention that No.5 Commando Veteran had passed away in 2015. [Thomas was researching his grandfather's service - also a commando - and had come across an earlier thread I'd written about Frede.
Frede was extremely proud of his service with The Commandos and he and I had been in communication for a short while so I was particularly saddened at this news.

This week Thomas informed me that he was going to visit Frede's grave and wondered if he should place a cross on behalf of the CVA. I accepted Thomas' kind offer and asked that he put, " No.5 Commando, Remembered with Pride" on the cross.
