It is with much sadness that we advise you of the recent death of Dorothy, the wife of Leon Gautier 10IA and 4 Commando. Dorothy passed away late Sat night/Sunday morning. She had been in a nursing home for a while and Leon visited her every day although in not good health himself. Our thoughts and prayers are with Leon and all their family at this time.
Rest in peace Dorothy

This has been a very sad week.
When I met Léon and his daughter, in Ouistreham last August, they were about to go to visit Mrs Gautier.
I wish I'd met her, too. My thoughts are very much with the family. RIP
