So far I am advised that the response to this event is low. For all those in or near London and the Home Counties who could make it please try and attend. Those outside that area then why not consider a day trip to the Capital. Commando Veterans Association full and associate members rally round and support the Royal Hospital Chelsea event. Lets see post war Green Berets there to give support and recognition to the WW2 Commandos who preceded them. Our former National Secretary Geoff Murray once asked for a " a sea of Green Berets" to attend a particular event . I'm not asking for that but it would be nice to see a good turnout, a good mix of young and older, full and associate. If you are on the CVA Facebook page start rallying around. Post a copy of this message on there. Tarnia Townshend who lost her Mum and her Grandad recently, has taken up the reigns of organisation from her Mum. So if you live in London or the Home Counties, or simply can make it from wherever you are, then contact Tarnia as soon as possible:
CVA AT THE ROYAL HOSPITAL CHELSEA
10TH APRIL 2016
The Commando Veterans Association St. George's Day parade and service will be held at The Royal Hospital Chelsea on Sunday, 10th April, 2016, commencing at 10am and at a cost of £5 per head.
Veterans attending are, as usual, requested to wear blazers, berets and medals.
Sylvie's daughter, Tarnia Townshend, is now liaising with The Royal Hospital to organise the event and should be grateful if you would let her know by 22nd March if you wish to attend and if you would like curry or sandwiches for lunch. Cheques should be made payable to Tarnia and her contact details are as follows:

We have been informed by the Royal Hospital Sergeant Major that there will be at least fifteen In-Pensioners, in Scarlets, on Parade on Sunday 10th April.
It would be fantastic if we could match this number with Green Berets...
