The concert is held annually in honour of Lt George Knowland, VC, No 1 Commando, who was killed in action in Burma at the Battle of Hill 170. The pupils are very proud that the school was George's alma mater and, with the staff, put their hearts into making it a memorable event with their choir and band. After the concert visitors are entertained to afternoon tea and an opportunity to catch up with old friends.

It is attended by veterans, their families and CVA members. It is also attended by local dignitaries, our Standard Bearer and a piper. In the past the London Branch has shown the larger attendance, however with the inevitable passage of time, I understand that several of our WW2 founder members are not able to attend this year. So this is a rallying call to those members, veterans including post WW2, or associates, who may wish to attend to get in contact. Veterans attending are asked to wear their green berets and medals.

The closing date for application is 14th January. If you would like an invitation and further details, please contact Tarnia and provide your full name and contact details including a contact telephone number if possible, and your CVA membership status, ie Veteran or Associate:
