As some of you will know there has always been a small service on the Saturday of Remembrance weekend at the Cloisters in Westminster Abbey by the Commando Memorial located there. A wreath is laid and a short service held. As a result of some enquiries, I can advise that the Service will again take place on Saturday 7th November 2015 commencing at 2.30pm.

As many of us will be at Fort William that weekend, if you do attend and would like to post a few photos of, or add some words about, the event please do so either on this forum message or in the gallery.

Pete, on your way to Fort William, would you please give a short pose in memory of my father and others who trained so long ago in the Lost Valley of Glen Coe. As we are heading State side again, and will miss the Rememberance Service here at Blaenau Ffestiniog for the first time in forty years.
Regards
Kevin

Of course Kevin. I will certainly do that in memory of your father and the others who trained in that beautiful and historic area. Visit Glencoe

I should have added in relation to the Westminster Abbey Cloisters Service, that this is a small service. If you wish to go just turn up on the day at the Cloisters by the memorial and introduce yourself to others there. The event commences at 2.30pm. All are welcome. I do know that David Tait of the St Nazaire Society is going.
