Royal Marines and Royal Marine Commandos

Did the Royal Marines (non commando) ever serve with Royal Marine Commando units.

The landing craft were crewed by non R.M.commandos,but I was wondering the likes of Cdo Bde HQ perhaps using RM provost,and perhap other admin staff type tasks.

I know its a bit of a silly question,but cannot believe the two divisions didn't work together along the line.
