Hi Graham
Sorry for the lateness of this reply but somehow I managed to miss your message when you originally posted it. According to the book that I have by Nick van der Bijl (No.10 Inter - Allied Commando 1942 - 1945):
"No.6 (Polish) troop officially passed under the control of II Polish Corps in April 1944 , but continued to be a part of No.10 (1A) Cdo for another four months. On 3rd August the Troop finally left the British order of battle, to become the nucleus for the new Polish 2nd Motorised Cdo Bn, which continued to fight in Italy"
Hope this helps, cheers Andy
