Why do you think they might have been, Kevin, and why the Far East than anywhere else? After all Germany had Hitler's execution order in place !

Well Pete, I never really thought much about it until recently, I remember my father mentioning that he had a suicide capsule sawn into a button on his tunic, when I asked him why, he just said that if the Japs wanted you to talk you talked no matter how tough you thought you were, I asked him if he would have taken his, he bluntly said yes, topic never mentioned nor persued ever again.

Hi Kevin it's not something I have heard before and I am not sure that we will get the answer now as there are so few left to ask. It may well have been related to your father's time with 142 etc.

I have this Fs in my collection .........some think the handle was designed to carry a suicide pill.

A big debate!!
