We would like to build on the information already in our gallery on this period. We are not looking for cut and pastes from other websites or facebook. More on personal information and photos directly from those who served, or from the families of those who served, in any post war Commando unit. These must come direct to the CVA via the official website either here on our Forum, or via our Contact Page. Photos under 2 mb can be posted direct onto our Gallery by registered users, or again we can assist if you contact us via the Contact page.

As we have done in our WW2 galleries I want as much as possible to keep it relevant. Recollections from those who served, accounts of or about any operation, or any person they served with, names of those who died or who were injured, photos of those who served, meritorious actions recognized by awards, or those that went unrecognized.

We hope that we can build a record of all who have served, and a tribute to all who have died in action, or on active service, or of natural causes.

If we can do this, then in years to come, we will get as many people finding fellow Commandos, friends, and relatives, in these photos, as we do now with our WW2 Galleries.

Pete

God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
