a page from an old family album. Dad was actually in 5 Commando from 41-46. The first pic is of him(arrowed sat front row 3rd from right) in the Lincs Regt. the middle left pic is him left with his Capt John Beasley and a unknown officer. Id love to know what the cap badge is on the front of his bush hat ( middle pic. The bottom left pic is fascinating A group of 5 Commandos ,I think my dad took the photo .Must be in Burma. The right hand soldier is cradling a tommy gun

dad ( third from left front) at a post war commando reunion. I have no idea where it was or who the men are I assume they are his old mates from No5

my dad top photo third from left at a commando reunion Hes wearing his Commando Association laple badge The bottom photo I assume its at the same reunion On the back its stamped with a London photographer's address

an old soldier James Hines years ago identified most of these No5 CommandosTaken in 1943 back row Christian Peterson ,Bernard Howe. Capt John Beasley ,Jock Miller ,James Hines
Front ? ., Jock Henry, Noel Brown, David Malen
Im sure he said they were Intelligence Section

from an old album Dad's Capt Beasley taken in 1945 Officer on the left its says is Capt "Hippy" Hepinstall
Bottom photo is when I went see the old gentleman at his home in Kensington in 1988 shortly before his death . Im soo happy I got to meet him !
