Can someone post a close-up of these (or one) please ... I'm after some originals.
Thank you.

This could be a bit of a minefield...
All I can do here is to post a close up of my father's stripe - even in the black & white photo you can see it is as dark as the Combined Ops badge, which we all know is red on a black background.

Thank you - that's nothing like the one I was looking at.
Dad's seems to have been 'lighter'. Thinking about his photo in the No.4 and No.9 Germany photo.

Like I said - a minefield.
I don't know if my father's were dark because his Regiment (Kings Royal Rifle Corps) were Light Infantry but if you look at L/Cpl's chevrons on Google Images you'll see many different shapes and colours - disregard the modern issue chevrons and you'll still see a variation depending on which regiment etc.

Standard WWII issue stripes attached. I think Nicks are the printed variety which look very different.

Yes, I think dad's were the ones on the left.
I have my beady eyes on a couple.
Thanks, all. :)
