I was looking through the King's College online collections today and their WWII Memorial list gives information about 3 men who served as Commandos and details of where they are commemorated:
Brian Dear Butler of 3 Commando:

Howell Charles Morris of 9 Commando:

John Whatley of 4 Commando:

Was John Whatley of No.4 27 or 37 when he died?

Eileen, I checked on Find my Past, his birth was registered in 1915. So 27 years of age.

Eileen picked up on the fact that his DOB is listed as 1905, not 1915 on the King's College website.

John Whatley's CWGC Record states he was 27.

Personal information such as this would have been given to the CWGC by the Casualty's Next of Kin.

Hi Folks,
I've just received this communique from King's College:
Dear Nick Collins,
Thank you for your email.
You're absolutely right - I've double-checked our Guy's Hospital Medical School student records and John Whatley was born on 22 June 1915. I will pass this on to the individuals responsible for maintaining the web pages so the page can be updated.
While we have done our best to check the accuracy of the data gathered by our excellent group of volunteers, a few mistakes have inevitably escaped our notice. Therefore we are very grateful to individuals such as yourself for drawing our attention to any errors.
Thank you very much for taking the trouble to contact us.
Kind regards,
Lianne
