The Highlands 1972

looking thru some old photo albums This is me and my mates camping in the Highlands 1972 i was almost 20 I had no idea where we were at the time and then suddenly there it was ....

I know how you must have felt, Stephen as I can remember, clearly, how I felt when I first clapped eyes on their/our wonderful monument.

I recall being taken up to those glorious soldiers and how I was shown how the boot stuck out at the front and how everyone marvelled at it.

I still marvel at it. Can't wait til I see it again next month.
