Stephane, thank you. I had never seen that before.

Lt Col Dawson had a doctorate in international law and political economy from the University of Lausanne, and that would explain the fact that he was genuinely bilingual. He later had a very distinguished career in the Foreign Office.

I met him a number of times, and he was always quiet, kindly and modest. On those occasions you could see how the former members of 4 Cdo present worshipped the ground on which he walked.

I met Colonel DAWSON only one time, and was too shy to speak to him at the time. he has always impresse me. With his smile and kindness
I spoke to his widow year after his death at Amfreville ( Hauger ).

I think INA has more time of this film, but need to pay to see more than this.
