My father's combined operations badge is the mirror image of those that I have seen on the web site - ie the eagle faces to the right. Does anyone know what this signifies?
A warm welcome to our forums.
Combined Operations is a unique Command where all three services work together under the Combined Operations Command control.
The badge represents all three services within the Command.
The Eagle..represents the Royal Air Force
The Tommy Gun......represents The Army
The Anchor represents the Royal Navy
The badges are left and right handed EG the gun always faces forward..........so your father's is either a left or right handed
badge.
Hope this is what you were after?
Best regards
