The son and namesake of Jim Ferrie posted this comment against a troop photo in the gallery on the link below. It might be worth contacting Geoff Murray to see if he has any contact details:
The guy on the back row 4th to the right of the pine tree is my father. Jim Ferrie. (deceased)
