Service records may contain names of ships. You can enter the ship's name into this website

It will then give you the national archive's reference number

"EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA" (British) would be held in reference BT 389/12

You then get a link to the national archives where you can obtain for about 4 a scan of the ships movement records.

The more I learn about the Commandos, the less I realise I know.
