Hi Paul

Thanks for posting this link which I am following up with the Derry Journal in order to contact the present owner. I have a note of a Cpl D.A.E. Roberts who was attached to 30 Commando Assault Unit, CBTC, and HOC. I will post any details as I get them

I have now been in touch with Ivor Doherty who has sent 3 photos from the scrapbook which belonged to PO/X/114033 Cpl. D.A. E Roberts who joined the Royal Marines on the 15th November 1943 and saw service with 30 Assault Unit. I am hoping to discover more details.

The 3 photos from Ivor are now on the top row of the RM album for 30AU :

David Alan Eccles Roberts, known to all as Alan Roberts, lived in Londonderry, passed away earlier this year
