Pete Rogers, son of LSgt Joe Rogers MM & nephew of TSM Ken McAllister. Both No2 Commando.

Reading the the list, and seeing the name Driver R Evans.T/175282.

According to the CWGC Dvr Evans was the first commando casualty of the war,

Whilst carrying a practice jump on the 25 July 1940, his parachute tangled and failed to open and he was killed as a result.

He is buried at St Mary's Church yard,Walton -on-Thames.
