had the one with my mother but lost it to a relation who never returned it So im grateful to my cousin Didnt know he had them Hes sent me the one with the Balmoral bonnet >my original has a rip through it

Just realised the top photo is dated 6 June 1944 ! Where was No5 Commando then?

Generally around that date, they were patrolling the Bishenpur Track.

Strangely though, this photograph looks like it's a studio portrait - the lighting is very good and the pose is not what one would expect to be taken out in the jungle. Certainly the photographer knew what he was doing...
