It is with much sadness that we inform of the death of a fellow Commando, Danny Hardy, former 1 Troop, No 3 Commando, who died on 11 August 2012 aged 90 years, with his family in Australia.

Danny was badly wounded in Sicily, spent a year in a German hospital and the remainder of the war as a POW. Prior to his service with the Commandos he served with the Royal West Kent Regiment and saw action in Spain (with his pal Johnny Hitchcock) in 1936 fighting the communists. He was a good pal of our fellow CVA member Roy Cadman (Royal Hospital Chelsea).

Danny leaves his wife Melody and family. Our thoughts are with them.

Rest in Peace Danny.
