It is with much sadness that we inform of the passing of a fellow Commando and CVA member, Dr John Paterson No 1 Commando, of Chesterton Cambridge, who died on Thursday 12 July 2012.

John was an avid supporter of the Commando Veterans Association and was Vic Ralph's Troop Commander (4 Troop) in Burma at Hill 170.

Our thoughts are with his family in their time of sadness.

Rest in Peace John

Funeral details to follow.

I met Dr Paterson one year in Fort William and he shared a few memories of my father with me..........a modest and kind man.

Rest in Peace John
