Good day,

I have recently acquired this lovely VI commando X-Mass card. On the right side is a picture of LC/s 502 and below D-Day 1944.

Is there any posisbility to identify this LCs 502 (what does abbreviation mean?) or the 6 commando "Mac" signing this card? He may have been on this landing craft on D-Day?

Cheers
JB

My father had a pal called 'Mac'. I think his name was Frank Joiner and I also think he was in No. 6.

Son of Dennis Cooper, 1 troop 4 Commando.

Hi,
The photo Shows Landing Craft Infantry (Small) 502 carrying part of HQ 1st Special Service Brigade on the morning of the 6th June 1944 on the way to Normandy.

Nice card.
