The CVA Summer Service was conducted on a scorching hot Sunday, 26th June 2011 at the CVA Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffs.
As usual the moving service was conducted by Capt (Reverend) George Parsons with National Secretary Geoff Murray laying the wreath.

Here is a link to the 2011 Summer Service Album in the gallery.
As usual, the CVA may use any photos taken by me but if anyone else wants copies I'd be more than happy to oblige - just contact me.

I'm a huge fan of the National Memorial Arboretum and would recommend a visit.

This was the first Commando Service that I have attended, and it was a wonderful experience. My late father, John Morgan served in No 3 Commando, so it was particularly special to meet Stan Scott and Ernie Mason both No 3 veterans. It is hard to believe that these Commandos who turned out for this service are all in their late eighties or older. I certainly hope to see them again at the next Service at Alrewas.
