Dear Sirs,
My late father Robert(Bobby)Cook was a member of No6 Commando and took part in the Normandy campaign and the invasion of Germany.We have hardly any other information on his time in the services.Could you please advise me how to obtain information on Dad,s service record including details of his parent company and his troop number in No6.

Dear Bob, your father served with No 6 Commando from at least 1943 to 1945. If you visit www6commando.com and contact the site manager he may be able to give you more info. Once we have the site up and running we will have a lot more info at hand, however this does take time. Have you considered visiting the National Archives at Kew to look up Roberts records? Worth a shout. Good luck
