Hi I'm trying to trace the history of my grandfather who was a commando and known as jack or john thompson I know very little but that he was in the lake district and use to train troops at street fighting etc including american troops who went fishing with hand grenades but that might be a tall story i think :D , as for dates i dont know anything sorry.
