The CVA was created with the intention to ensure that the unique spirit, tradition and camaraderie of the Commandos does not fade, but is kept alive for present and future generations.
The CVA Forum is maintained in that same spirit.

To participate on the Forum you must first register.

The purpose of a forum is a free and open exchange of ideas. The basic guide to forum etiquette is this: be polite, be mature, and respect the opinions of others (even if you disagree with them).

The CVA will not tolerate 'spamming', 'trolling', or 'flaming'.

By registering on the Forum, you agreed not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.

The Forum Administrators or Moderators will remove any posts which are defamatory.

The Forum is not to be used to promote any product, service or business.
Commercial products, including books or films etc., may only be advertised with the prior consent of the Administrator.
However, it is understood that there are times when the idea itself requires that a product be mentioned, critiqued or evaluated.
There are also times when the recommendation of a product is the answer to a posted problem.
Blatant advertising on a forum, however, is discourteous.
Any person connected with the production, distribution or sale of a product referred to by them in a forum message, should be aware that it may be deemed as advertising without prior consent, and may be removed or edited.

The Forum is not to be used for requests for personal donations or assistance in funding; any such appeals must be directed to the Commando Veterans Association either in person, by letter, or by email.

The Forum should not be used as a Political Platform.

Please be civil.
Sometimes, people may write something that you may find offensive. Before launching into a public condemnation, please consider that the person may not have intended to cause offence. It is very easy to misinterpret a post on forums.
Personal differences should be handled through Email or PM.

If you have a problem with a particular post, please contact either an Administrator or a Moderator.

Search the other posts to see if your topic is already covered.

Use a meaningful title for your thread.

Do not post content that violates a copyright

When replying to a post, avoid quoting more from the previous post than you have to.

Do try and keep to the topic of the thread; rather than hi-jack someone else's thread and interrupt a topic of discussion, if you want to raise a new issue then consider whether a new topic is more appropriate.

Do not double post (post the same message twice in one thread) or cross post (place the same message across several forums).

Do not post any information that that should remain private. Posts should not contain personal, identifiable information or content embarrassing to others.

The Forum Moderators routinely browse the forums to ensure that the guidelines are being followed. Anyone not following the guidelines may find their posts deleted.
If you notice any posts that do not adhere to these guidelines, please notify the Forum Moderators or Administrator.
