Hello :-)
What does the community think about a page for POW veterans :?:
Might be useful for fellow internees to make contact and to learn about the conditions of POW camps, even where they were, where they were captured etc.
Just an idea
Regards,
Colin :-)

I REALL LIKE THE IDEA OF A POW LIST OF THE COMMANDOS OR ANY LIST. I KNOW YOU MEN OFTEN THINK OF US OLD GALS AS SILLY. WE'RE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT VARIOUS FORUMS. I VOTE FOR LISTS COLIN.

Hi
Talking of lists. We are attempting to compile 'They Also Served' lists for all WW2 Cdo units on their history pages. So all who served in these famous units will get recognition.
No 2 Cdo already has the sort of lists I am talking about (Thanks Bob & Janet)
The Rolls of Honour are also ready to be added to each unit history
No 1 and No 12 'Also Served' are being compiled now so keep checking and if your family member Father GF uncle etc is not on there lets us know.
POW list would be a great addition to this info we just need someone to compile from reliable sources.
Go for it
Regards
John M

Hi JohnM,
Would this POW info be tagged onto Commando History page or have a page of its own :?:
Cheers,
Colin :-)

If anyone would like details on POW army commandos (OR's and Officers) held in European camps feel free to contact me. Even with just an initial and a surname I am able to provide you with camp number, POW number and the mans army service number.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
